Our Matcha comes from a small tea plantation in the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern Thailand. The shade grown green tea rich in chlorophyll is ground to a fine powder. When drinking Matcha, the entire tea is ingested and not just the liquour giving the full benefits of its anti-oxidant properties, mopping up pollutants in the body.

At hummingbird one of our most popular cold drinks is the Yahagi Frappe, made with matcha tea and the added benefits of bloomed chia seeds. The versatility of Matcha can be used extensively in baking and home-made ice cream.
