Afternoon Tea is unmistakably a truly British custom now known worldwide but with its origins in 19th century England.

The credit for the custom of the Afternoon Tea goes to Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford in the early 19th century when serving dinner as late as 9:00 pm which left the Duchess hungry. To stave off that hunger she would order tea, bread, and cakes in her room. The habit caught on and afternoon tea was born.

Afternoon tea is now the most fashionable way to catch up with friends. It has become increasing popular be it after a busy morning’s shopping, a business meeting, for that special family occasion, a romantic date or a truly memorable experience for the bride to be and her girlfriends. Modern life can be very hectic and demanding and taking afternoon tea is the perfect way to slow down and relax, bringing huge emotional and wellbeing benefits.

Chicken salad with cranberries and pecans – $48

Cage free egg salad – $35

Smoked salmon with cream cheese – $55

Classic cucumber with Irish cheddar cheese- $35

Roast beef with horseradish – $48

Green sandwich: cranberry/walnut bread; avocado, tomato, goat cheese on light pesto – $55

Summer cocktail sausages – $40 (30 in a platter)


$45 serves 10- 12 includes dressing on the side – choose from the following:

Strawberry Salad: Fresh, sweet strawberries tossed with organic mixed greens and pecans in strawberry vinaigrette and garnished goat cheese.

 Summer Breeze: Mixed organic salad leaves, orange segments, walnuts, apples, and vinaigrette dressing.

 Apple Cheddar Tart apples, bold, sharp Irish cheddar, walnuts, and organic mixed greens tossed in raspberry vinaigrette or olive oil & sea salt.


Our now famous scones served warm with strawberry jam & clotted cream: $2.25 each.
