Lamingtons are a traditional confection in Australia. Since 2006, these lovely sweets are honored in observance of “National Lamington Day” in Australia every July 21st. Lamingtons are mini sponge cakes made from scratch here in our bakery. They are pulled from the warm oven and allowed to cool. Once cool, they are coated in a light chocolate sauce and rolled in coconut.
Each gift box is beautifully decorated and includes:
4 – individually large slices of Lamingtons
2 – tea sachets
“I grew up in Zambia, and Lamingtons are something I can remember enjoying with tea. I love to cut them into small slices and enjoy them as a morning or afternoon snack with a cup of tea. You’ll find that these little cakes are not overly sweet, yet sweet enough.” – Nasim Bell, Owner
If you can resist eating them all at once, lamingtons can be frozen for up to 1 month.
Ingredients: Artisan flour, sugar, butter, cage-free eggs, milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, Dutch cocoa, and dessicated coconut.
